Who the heck made up these sayings?

What were the circumstances that caused the person(s) to create this type of dialogue?

Where in the world did these sayings develop? And, do they translate?

When did these phrases become so widespread? It’s not like there was the internet or social media back in the day.

Why were these sayings created?

How is it that these phrases have their own definition or implied meaning?

Anyway, I’m off to Google this information. Here’s my layout for the week. Not many supplies were used, it was easy as pie. Check it out.

Supplies

Step One

First off, I wanted to create a simple layout with the most basic supplies. So, I lettered the month with my brush pens (665 and 623). I was going for a blended look, but I used too much color and it came out a solid shade of purple. Oops. In any event, to correctly blend the colors, it’s best to color onto a ceramic dish or plastic bag with the darker of the two shades. Then, with the lighter color, color slightly over the darker color. I added a bit of detail with my white pen.

Step Two

I wanted a framed look to my layout – and decided to create a bold line with this marker followed by a thinner line right under it with this marker. I used the framed technique around the entire notebook and with the six rectangles.

Step Three

Last, I attached my days of the week stamps to my acrylic block, applied some purple stamp ink, and stamped each box (combining Saturday and Sunday together).
