Instead of 20, I’m making it 21, my favorite color is purple (any shade).  I often create in purple just as I have done with this journal layout.  Check it out.

Supplies

Step One

First, with my ruler and brush pen (665) I created seven rectangles in my journal, one for each day of the week.

Step Two

Then I colored my darker brush pen onto my acrylic dish (a plastic bag will also work) from TJ Maxx. To transfer the color over and create a blended effect, I took my lighter brush pen and colored right on top of the darker one. Next, I lettered the month and added a few details with my gel pen and drawing pen.

Step Three

Third, I placed my days of the week stamp from The Sassy Club onto an acrylic block, added some ink, and stamped each box.

Step Four

To add a bit more design, I decided to stamp small circles to the top of the layout – creating a confetti look. Instead of using an ink pad, I used three purple brush pens (603, 636, 665). What I did was color the top of the circle stamp and then stamp it onto the journal, changing the shade of purple periodically.
