For some reason I’ve been really into circle patterns lately. Not sure why. For my March cover page in my bullet journal I used a circle stencil and I loved the results, see that Instagram post here.

As I was thinking of a design for my weekly layout, I was immediately drawn to more circles. These circles aren’t exactly circles, they are a bit topsy-turvy. But I went with it anyway and got my circle fix!

Check it out.

Supplies

Step One

I started this layout by covering portions of the spread with sticky notes.  This served for one purpose only.  I wanted 6 unmarked spots for my daily notes.

So, I placed my stencil onto the layout and gently went over the stencil with my ink and application tool.  The first color ink I used was Peacock Feathers.  I also added some Mermaid Lagoon ink to randomly selected circles just to give the layout a bit more of an ombré effect.

Step Two

After removing the stencil and sticky notes, I drew in six boxes (where the sticky notes were) with my ruler and grey marker, the fine tip side.

Step Three

Next, I lettered the month with my brush pen (black tip) and wrote in the dates with a drawing pen. Just a FYI, the brush pen is a dual brush pen, it has a black tip on one side and a grey tip on the other.

Step Four

For the last part, I stamped the first letter of each day of the week with my alphabet stamps and black ink pad.
