It’s the second day of 2018 and I must admit, it has started off well…really well (happy dance is happening).

Anyway, one of my resolutions for this year is to blog more. I started blogging back in late March 2017 and I wasn’t sure if I really liked it or not. But, as time progressed, I found myself blogging about 2-3 times a week…I was hooked, I loved blogging.

Now, let me just be clear. I don’t have a degree in English, journalism, communications, or anything to the effect of writing (learn more about me here).

I am totally aware that my blog posts may contain punctuation problems, run-on sentences, subject and verb disagreements, etc. but I roll with it anyway. For some reason my grammar is one part of me I am not so critical about.

The point of my blog is to share what I like and whatever experiences that occur in my life. Sometimes it’s interesting. And well, other times it’s booooring.

So, I’ve added another important page to my bullet journal. A calendar for January.

Check it out.

——————–

This orange tiger journal is by Dingbats Notebooks. In 2017, I used this super cute grey elephant bullet journal also by Dingbats.

I started this layout with flowers, after all, a new year brings new blooms. When I stamped the flowers, I decided to use the blocking method. This method is best described as this, I use a piece of paper to cover certain areas I don’t want the stamp to show. The flowers I used came from two sets of stamps, this set and this set. I used this ink pad and held the stamp with this acrylic block.

After the flowers were stamped on both sides of the journal, I lettered the month in red and added a bit of detail with this black pen.

For the next part I used my ruler and red pen and drew in the lines for the calendar. Btw, I purposely use a dot grid bullet journal, so drawing straight lines is a cinch.

Now, I left an open space at the top of the calendar for the days of the week. Instead of writing in the days, I decided to use this alphabet stamp set and block.

And for the last part, I wrote in the dates with the same black pen mentioned above.
