Remember the flip clock? Flip clock? What’s a flip clock? According to wiki,

flip clock is an electromechanical, digital time keeping device with the time indicated by numbers that are sequentially revealed by a split-flap display.

Let me just throw it out there, I totally had a flip clock back in the day.

With each passing minute, the flap made a noise. Oh, how I miss that noise. Probably because that was the sound of my carefree youth, just flapping on by.

And now, I have to adult. Sometimes (more like a lot of the time) I just don’t want to adult.

So anyway, when I saw the cool retro stamps by ArtistGather, I knew these flip stamps needed to be a part of my life!

Details

This is the bullet journal I use.

First, I started this layout by hand-lettering the word December at the bottom of my layout. I used a green brush marker (from Michael’s) but this green brush marker is similar. I also added a bit of details with this white gel pen.

I wanted to separate each day of the week so with this ruler and red pen I created several sections.

Then, with my alphabet flip stamps, my acrylic block, and black ink pad, I stamped each day of the week into the sections.

Artist Gather also have months and years flip stamps, so I just had to use the 2017 stamp.

As I was finishing up the layout, I wanted to add a bit more color, so I used my red brush pen and lettered the word urgent. With Christmas just around the corner, believe me when I say, I have many urgent tasks to accomplish.

Last, I added a bit more design by hand drawing diagonal lines between the horizontal lines (kinda gives it a candy cane look).
