I love having stained fingers. It could only mean one thing – I’m creating. Well, today, my fingers are blue. It’s not from food coloring, or paint, it’s from ink.

In fact, I did a bit of a spin on animal prints. I used a cheetah or possibly leopard (I’m still unsure, see more about that post here) stencil for a bullet journal layout.

The layout is simple, but the colors are bright and bold – a total eye catcher.

See how I created this along with the supplies I used below.

The layout was created in this bullet journal.

I wanted the layout to have empty space for the days of the week but the rest of the layout full of the animal print. To achieve that, I blocked off sections of the bullet journal with some trimmed 3 “x 5” index cards washi taped onto the notebook.

Then, I used this animal printed stencil, blue ink, and an ink applicator to achieve the look I was going for.

I wanted the month to “pop” so I used a bright pink (almost neon) brush pen to hand letter the word July. With this gel pen, I added some white highlights to the lettering to make the pink appear juicy. Then I wrote in the date with this pen.

For the last part of the journal I used these days of the week stamps that my friends at The Sassy Club sent me.
