I am a big fan of botanicals and incorporating them into many of my projects. Don’t ask me to care for live botanicals though because I just don’t have that skill or talent (cacti and succulents are the only exception).

Many of my bullet journal layouts are filled with botanicals. Now, I don’t draw the flowers (yet), but I do enjoy using floral rubber stamps. See my other floral bullet journal spreads here, here, here and here.

On this current layout, I wanted to use just a small amount of color as the floral stamp is the main attraction – so I added just the right amount of blues.

See below for the supplies I used and how I made this layout.

First, I took strips of washi tape and stuck it onto my jeans. What, why? Here’s my assessment. Some of the washi tape I use is extra sticky. So sticky in fact that it has removed part of the paper from the bullet journal onto itself. To avoid ruining the layout, I stick the washi onto my jeans to help remove some of the layers of stickiness.

I started the bullet journal by blocking sections with washi tape. I did this so the stamp wouldn’t go past certain areas.

Here’s the completed washi design.

Then, I used this rubber stamp and this ink pad, and stamped all around the page.

After I removed the tape, I created 7 rectangels using a blue pen from this set.

With this pen I hand lettered the days of the week.

I love blending colors together, so I took two blue brush markers, and let the pen tips touch for about 5 seconds (this process transfers the color).

The blends worked perfectly and I wrote in the word July.

I really love having a mini calendar in my layout, so for the final touch, I used this acrylic block and stamp.

And that is it. Here are a couple close ups.
